You don’t REALLY care about Twitter. Do you?

Let me tell you the truth – Twitter is just another way, of the many ways available today, to grow your business as an actor, get visible, and make money.
So why should you bother? You’re on Facebook and maybe even YouTube already, right?
Another thing to do???
Yes. Because Twitter is DIFFERENT from all of the other social media platforms out there. In fact, it’s actually the most powerful marketing tool available today.
Ashton Kutcher and Charlie Sheen famously exchanged tweets over the whole Two and a Half Men uproar – and you heard about it. Politicians have lost their seats in government because of tweeting – and you heard about it. Regular folks share and send up to the minute information on everything from weather, to concerts, to wars, to Dancing With the Stars – and you heard about it. LATER.
If you haven’t figured out why YOU should be using Twitter yet, here’s why.
You must at least have SOME interest in Twitter cause you’re still here, reading about it! Maybe you just haven’t figured out how it could help you in your acting career. Or maybe you even have a Twitter account, but haven’t really gotten into the habit of using it yet.
“I don’t want to waste my time”, you say.
I met an actress the other day who told me something that made me giggle: “I just don’t get how tweeting what I wore at my last audition or that I’m watching my favorite TV show could help me.”
I responded to her with the following:
“I’m looking for an actor who speaks Greek, anyone know someone?”
“We’re planning a trip to LA for pilot season, where’s an inexpensive place to stay?”
“I’m trying to figure out if my new tap shoes are deductible for my biz or not – anyone know for sure?”
“Anyone else think the movie The Artist has Oscar written all over it?”
“Had interviews with Paradigm and Gersh. Anyone have experience with either?”
Yeah, this isn’t just idle chatter and talk. OK, some do tweet about what they had for dinner, but we forgive them (don’t we???)
So what does regularly tweeting do for your career?
Well, if you were an actor who speaks Greek, an actor friendly hotel in LA, a tax planner, loved movies, or had info on Paradigm or Gersh and were willing to help, these tweets would be totally cool, wouldn’t they?
These types of conversations are happening everyday without you. They’re fast, in real time, and are interactive in a way other platforms are not. You can actually look for and find people who are actively seeking out what you are too – by simply searching.
But you don’t know how.
Since you don’t have a lot of time to figure this all out on your own, you’ll want to take Twitter Basics for Your Biz.
Is This Seminar For You?
Yes. If you want to reach a global audience in seconds.
Yes. If you want to talk to ANYONE, even big names and celebrities (like Ashton) instead of only those who have agreed to be “friends” like on Facebook.
Yes. If you want to be cool and and get known by potentially millions of people all over the world quicker than any other way possible today.
Yes. If you want to stay “top of mind” for thousands of people at once with 140 characters or less.
Stuff You’ll Learn from Taking This Seminar
- Step by step instructions to set up your Twitter account ahead of time, before hand, so that you can FULLY engage during the seminar, having “tweeted” by the time you leave and feel the power of Twitter and it’s reach
- Twitter Terminology – descriptions you can understand (no geek speak) for common symbols like @ (at); DM (direct message); # (hashtag), RT (retweet)
- How to use the above and be clear and concise in the 140 character limit
- Distinguish “followers” and who you will be “following” – why, how to find them, and how they can find you
- Set up your profile, see what’s trending, privacy settings and more…
If You’re Ready to Profoundly Impact YOUR Business of Show, Here’s What to Do Next
Register for the seminar.
OK, that seemed obvious, didn’t it? But honestly, what IS there to do now but pull the trigger?
If you’re feeling like you should, you should. If not, not. I get it…so go with your gut.
So How Much Does This Shindig Cost?
Shindig? Wow, what place did I pull that term from?
Anyway, your investment needs to be a good one. Heck, a great one, and you don’t have money to waste.
* A great one-on-one meeting with a casting director – $25
* Stellar headshots that get you called in…a lot – $500
* An audience of thousands, if not millions of people, in 140 characters or less – PRICELESS
‘Nuff said…the seminar costs a mere $35. Yeah, cheap (for now, so get on it!)
A Few More Things
Just like anything in life, you can lead an actor to Twitter but you can’t make them Tweet.
You have a big vision, and you’re just not reaching enough people to bring that vision to life.
So this is an opportunity for you, and ONLY you can take charge of your career like no one else. Its always up to you, and no one on the planet cares more about your career than you do.
Not even your mother.
OK, maybe mom…but that’s it.
What I am saying is that you can’t do the same ole’ thing expecting different results.
