What is an agent evaluating when considering you for representation? What are they REALLY looking for? Talent, yes? That certain something no one can describe, yes? That IT factor, yes?
Well yes AND no.
Let me explain. If you think that strictly being the most talented is the answer, you’ve got tons to learn. It’s called show business (not show art) and there’s a huge missing piece to the puzzle of gaining representation.
- You’ll need to start out by understanding the market place, your place in it as an actor, what’s expected from you BESIDES talent and soooo much more.
- You’ll want to learn how money makes any business work and we’re not talking about your money, we’re talking about an agent’s money. 10% right? But 10% of what?
